Pumpkin Carving for Halloween

Wednesday, September 01, 2010

We see there is a new set of carving templates out from PumpkinMasters again this year. These are to carve in the front and do a pattern on the back that will glow through when the pumpkin is lit up. We are anxious to try them out this year since, even though this type has been around for a while, we've never done any.

Hopefully the pumpkin crop will be a good one this year. We haven't been able to find any info on that yet so it's hard to say what the prices for pumpkins will be this Halloween season. But it does seem like major growing areas got a decent amount of rain this summer so we can only pray that we'll have a good pumpkin harvest this year.

In the mean time, start making your pumpkin carving kit so you'll have all the tools that you'll need for carving your best Jack-O-Lanterns ever! Use store bought templates or go to places like PumpkinCarving101.com for info and ideas.

Pumpkin carving is a family tradition that everyone should get into and carry on year after year! Nothing says Halloween more then a glowing Jack-O-Lantern with a sinister face glowing in the darkness to welcome trick-or-treaters to your home on Halloween night!
