Pumpkin Carving for Halloween

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Well, last year was bad for the pumpkin growing industry again. Because of weather conditions, the pumpkin crop was small and the prices for pumpkins was high. This year, though, it's been wet all over the country with snow in almost every state except Hawaii so we are hoping this makes for a fertile year and the pumpkin crops will be huge with low prices once again!

You can't have Halloween without a Jack-O-Lantern or ten, it's just not Halloween without them! Everyone loves carving a pumpkin for Halloween, it's a tradition that many families have had for generations. Nothing says Halloween like a spooky Jack-O-Lantern glowing softly on a porch, welcoming trick-or-treaters to the door!
